"We never really considered a modular home, but when we priced out putting a house on our piece of property the cost was more than we wanted to spend. So we gave Eagle Homes a call to explore the options that they had. Our first contact was with Mike . He was extremely helpful over the phone and since we were from out of town the only day that we had available was on a day that Eagle Homes was closed. Mike made arrangements with James to come in to show us some homes. What surprised us right off the bat is that today’s modular homes were not the trailers of the past they are built to the same spec and quality of a house. Modern construction with 2 x 6 framing extremely nice finishing really made it exactly like a house which really it is, it just sits on a metal frame. From there we decided to have a unit built through Eagle Homes/Moduline.

From the beginning dealing with Mike , we just had a very good feeling. He was very helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries, believe me, we had a lot. It is worth mentioning that our needs were for an off grid home, not something that Eagle Homes was used to dealing with often. Mike and Krystal worked with the manufacturer to make sure that our off grid needs were incorporated into the house, accommodation for wood heating, on demand hot water, and backup heating were all incorporated.

Mike’s response to emails, phone calls and texts were more than timely and the whole building process was made very simple. Throughout the process we also worked with Krystal who was also extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, like Mike her follow up to our questions and needs were immediate. The continuity between Mike and Krystal was seamless, one filling in for the other when either was not available. Krystal was also extremely helpful in getting all of our questions answered as it pertained to what needed to be done with RDEK.

We took delivery of our home this summer. Everything went very smoothly. There were a couple of issues with the house, things that were not quite right from the manufacturer. Mike and the team at Eagle Homes made sure that issues were resolved and there was never a feeling that we would have to deal with the hassle or the cost of those fixes. Eagle Homes took care of it immediately without question.

Fast forward to October and the start of cold season. Our home is performing very well. Before we got into the negative temperatures we would have a fire in the woodstove for a few hours in the morning and the house would be warm for the rest of the day into the evening. Our plan was not to use the furnace unless we had to go out of town for a period of time, and that would be our sole source of heat. Seeing how the house is performing thus far, it seems like this will be no problem.

The last thing we would like to add is a shout out for Dusty. Dusty is another great member of Eagle Homes. Dusty installed the skirting on the house, as well as fixing anything that may have been damaged in transit and even releveling our house after a bit of a settling. Dusty did it all, the quality of his work, his reliability to be there when we need it and his communication was awesome, but at this point no surprise as James has built an awesome team, well done.

"We committed to purchase our park model cabin from Eagle Homes (Moduline) in August of 2016. It was delivered to our lot in the Columbia Valley on November 1st, 2016. We did a custom floor plan and were very happy with the end result. The interior finishes and quality were very good. We only had a few minor issues discovered after delivery however those were quickly addressed by James and the crew at Eagle Homes. Unfortunately due to timing on our part we only managed to get a couple days use out of it before we had to winterize it. Overall we were very happy with our experience at Eagle Homes. James and the crew were very knowledgeable and helpful and I have no concerns moving forward if we end up needing them for any other warranty issues we may find. I would like to share our new modular home purchase with your company, its employees and anyone thinking of purchasing a new modular home. It was October of 2009 when my partner and I set up an appointment to meet with James Ellis and Ken Olsen. I had gone to the Eagle Homes website many times and had looked at various modular homes designs.

When we arrived at the Cranbrook office I had a photocopy of three different sections of various modules, copied and taped together. I wasn't sure how this was going to go over. Well much to my surprise we were told that this was fine. You can draw, copy any design that you like, the plans would be drawn up and Moduline would build the home according to your plans. After a couple of hours we had the floor plan laid out, the flooring, cabinets, trim doors etc. all picked out. They had samples in the office for us to look at and if they didn't they found a picture for us to look at.

Within a week or so plans were faxed to us for our review. Once everything was approved and if you are anything like me, I did make a few changes. We were never discouraged about making any changes, we were never told 'No, that can't be done.' It was one of the most rewarding and satisfying purchases I have ever made.

As we were trading in our old mobile home with Eagle Homes we had a lot of co-ordinating to do. With the expertise of Eagle Homes that process was seamless. Our new home arrived on December 14, 2009 in -27 weather. The crew worked all day in this cold, leveling, skirting, putting in garden doors and building us a new set of stairs. They did an amazing job and when they were gone you couldn't even tell they were there, they took every piece of trim, board etc with them. The plumbers and electrician were all on site the same day and by that evening we had heat and lights. The next day we were given the ok to start moving in.

After we had moved in we found there were a few little things that we needed looked at. Rick from Moduline was sent out to inquire and he fixed 99% of the problems within a couple of hours. One other issue with the flooring was completed in a short time later.

We are very proud of our new home and look forward to many years of living in it. We have no reservations about recommending Eagle Homes, especially James Ellis, his knowledge and ease of the way he works with his clients is very professional, yet he really takes a personal involvement in the customers that he is dealing with.

We would highly recommend purchasing a modular home with Eagle Homes, we love ours and can't wait until we get our new deck built to go with our beautiful new home.
